Pictured above is an example of a setup you could use with the YoloBox Ultra to switch between video and audio for livestreaming and recording. The labeled items are as follows:
1. Mackie ProFX6v3 USB Audio Mixer - can bring in up to 6 audio channels, which will show up under a single audio channel in the YoloBox's onboard software audio mixer.
2. Laptop running NDI Tools - can be used to control the YoloBox through a web control panel. The laptop's screen, or a region of interest from the screen, and system audio can be brought in to the YoloBox as an NDI source using NDI Tools. Saved media and clips can be brought in from the laptop to the YoloBox as NDI sources. The laptop can also be used as a monitor for NDI sources on the network, and to control PTZ cameras. NDI Studio Monitor can allow you to record the YoloBox's Program Out, as an NDI Source, freeing up room for ISO recording other sources on the YoloBox itself.
3. USB Hard Drive Dock - can be used to save recordings, as well as bring in saved media as sources on the YoloBox.
4. BirdDog X1 Ultra - HD PTZ NDI Camera. Can be brought in through HDMI, or NDI, and can be fed a microphone or line in to bring in as its own audio channel on the YoloBox. Can be powered with a wall adapter, or through PoE with an ethernet connection.
5. BirdDog X5 Ultra - 4K PTZ NDI Camera. Can be brought in through HDMI, or NDI, and can be fed a microphone or line in to bring in as its own audio channel on the YoloBox. Can be powered with a wall adapter, or through PoE with an ethernet connection.
6. AIDA PTZ-NDI-X18W - HD PTZ NDI Camera. Can be brought in through HDMI, or NDI, and can be fed a microphone or line in to bring in as its own audio channel on the YoloBox. Can be powered with a wall adapter, or through PoE with an ethernet connection.
7. Canon CR-N100 - 4K PTZ NDI Camera. Can be brought in through HDMI, or NDI, and can be fed a microphone or line in to bring in as its own audio channel on the YoloBox. Can be powered with a wall adapter, or through PoE with an ethernet connection.
8. Canon XA25 - HD camcorder. Can be brought in through HDMI, and can be fed a microphone or line in to bring in as its own audio channel on the YoloBox. Can be powered through a wall adapter, or from a battery.
9. JVC GY HC500UN - 4K camcorder. Can be brought in through HDMI, or NDI, and can be fed a microphone or line in to bring in as its own audio channel on the YoloBox. Can be powered through a wall adapter, or from a battery.
In total, in this picture we have seven video sources (Four cameras through HDMI, two cameras through NDI, and laptop screen capture through NDI), 13 audio sources (six channels from the USB audio mixer (under one channel on the YoloBox), plus six channels from each camera, plus one channel from the laptop's system audio), and the ability to bring in up to five saved videos for playback from the YoloBox, as well as 50 still images. Saved videos and pictures for playback can be swapped out for others without interrupting your production or livestream.
